Yes, yesterday was an appropriate time to think of other mothers; mothers outside of our immediate families.
ReplyDeleteAnd there is something to be said about incresed number of women in governments which just could work to diminish this obvious male hormonal overload that is manifesting itself in a need to kill.

ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that the inclusion of women in the new governments in Afghanistan and Iraq has been a demand of our coalition nation-builders. It was seen that female empowerment and presence in the corridors of power - even if only as a small minority - could put a brake on extreme theocratic leadership of the males.
Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, this idea has run into extreme Islamic opposition and - understandably - has become lost in the maelstrum of other issues.
