I guess I'll make this...

. . . A bait 'n switch!

Besides, I can't really review what I haven't read or preview what I will never read...

Jon Stewart's 'blurb' is enough to kill off this tome.

  1. This book was published in 2008. Why are you always looking backwards?

  2. Petro, the blogosphere is a target-rich environment. When you post a column on your blog, which I do and you don't, it becomes one more target among many. But it only is up there for a day or two. But when someone writes a book, it becomes a target for a long, long time.

  3. It is hard for me to feel warm and fuzzy about any book extolling the so-called virtues of neo-conservatism. The "justification" for preemptive military strikes is highly subjective, and the act of undertaking one is more reminiscent of Hitler in Poland and Hitler in Russia, that it is something noble and necessary. I would suggest this author is just another paranoid conservative trying to defend the actions of those who had and have little regard for our Constitution or for international law. It would also appear the man is a Zionist. I am all for the existence of Israel, and I believe terrorism must be fought and destroyed, but I simply cannot buy the neocon methodology.

  4. I meant to say "thaN it is noble and necessary, not "that".

  5. Whoa! And who would thought a nice Jewish boy from the Bronx could even begin to sound like a Nazi.

  8. Vig, this book looks great, and I think I can understand how Neo-Cons found Liberalism a good model to follow, even if they don't know that they do.

Problematically, the ultra-conservative sector of our society also evokes dangerous situations—you know, shouting down congressional reps and bringing guns to town hall meetings.

all that Hi Jack! I don't know if this book extols the virtues of the krazy konservatives, as I haven't read the book. I think I should before I make an ignorant comment

Thanks, Vig, for this post. I'm still engaged in The Waxman Report.

Jeez, Petro, are you still around? I thought you faded away into 2008 or perhaps imploded with that nozzle pumping gas your rectal cavity... no KA-BOOM!!!???
