Jeff Buckley

It's Friday, and he's made me late to work.

Because I had to stay with him until the very end.
When I am at my very end, on my last Friday, I will not regret the days I was late to work. Being late to work can be a good thing.

  1. I'm here to tell you I plan to play catch-up, reading backwards. I'm now in a rage about Obama's reluctance to push for a special prosecutor to go after the torturers. I know you've been writing on this, but I've been preoccupied with silly stuff like putting my blog roll on a feed reader, so new posts will rise to the top and grab my attention.

  2. Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
    Well it goes like this
    The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
    The baffled king composing Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

Well baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
    It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

Well there was a time when you let me know
    What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who'd out drew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
    It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

  3. Sometimes its all I can do and not say screw work, even though I actually love my job.
