Vig.. you are still clue less. They invaded because we needed to bump up the economy. It had nothing to do with the rationale you present.
We have a war based economy.. run by special interest groups. Why conjure up your tired and ill thought out way to relate to this again? Hillary and Obama will carry on the Tradition. It was provoked .. to make money in our Price System. It was planned from the beginning by the Neo-cons.. and the Democrats for the folks back home to make ''money''. The rest of the world was in cohoots with us.. see any one try and stop us?
I am beginning to think this site is a Smurf political site or maybe Sponge Bob version of events.
I know this site attracts flame warriors for the system..the Establishment.
Happy April 15th. you all.. Thats when the riots start. BTW. Look in the mirror talker of moronic monkeys.
The system laughed its way to bank for many years. Now as the rats desert the ship things get really weird. As our economy collapses... and it is going to.. the troops will come home, and very quickly. Homeland defense will need them for Americamire. Say hello to the second American revolution.
To all, please pardon the long comment. As we approach five years of a useless war, the "Why did we go to war for no reason?" keeps cropping up. It's an old question, I know.
We all know it was money. So I Googled "cheney war euros," and a plethora of links will appear. An F. William Engdahl article should enrage even the calmest individual (02/01/05).
According to Endahl, we only need look to PNAC: "It is becoming increasingly clear to many that the war in Iraq is about preserving a bankrupt American Century model of global dominance. It is also clear that Iraq is not the end. What is not yet clear and must be openly debated around the world, is how to replace the failed Petro-dollar order with a just new system for global economic prosperity and security."
On 02/10/05, the Centre for Global Research reported: "It is now obvious the invasion of Iraq had less to do with any threat from Saddam's long-gone WMD program and certainly less to do to do with fighting International terrorism than it has to do with gaining strategic control over Iraq's hydrocarbon reserves and in doing so maintain the US$ as the monopoly currency for the critical international oil market."
The author of a 07/2006 article in Counterpunch, Mike Whitney, writes: "Cheney has dumped another (estimated) $10 to $25 million in a European bond fund which tells us that he is counting on a steadily weakening dollar. So, while working class Americans are loosing ground to inflation and rising energy costs, Darth Cheney will be enhancing his wealth in 'Old Europe.'"
In essence, these and many other articles indicate that (1) the Iraq war arose because their government intended to shift from petrodollars to petroeuros; and (2) Cheney, in essence, is investing $10 to $25 million in Euros.
Pardon the long post, but the implication of these issues are obviously troubling. And, Skip, if you ever take the name of Spongebob in vain again, it's on!
Ok.. pardon.. Sponge Bob is way more creative than the Neo-cons.
Stella .. all know the system is going to collapse and shortly. All are bumpering up on the slop pail of money we call the Price System.
That is the name of the game in this type of society.
Keep in mind that even the beloved Liberals and ''progressives'' all play this game.
As globalism collapses a wild effort to plunder the system is.. and will occur. As the rats leave the ship the rats are also planning on controlling the ship. This leads to civil war in the U.S. As said ... check your calender for April 15th... BTW. The people mentioned are only doing the first duty that is always being done. Making a profit at any cost in human lives or the natural world. Keep in mind that our leaders may decide to kill 150 million Americans rather than change out of the back ass system we are in. Good luck to all in the coming 2nd. American civil war.
The fact is, for 25 years terrorists had been killing Americans, culminating in 9/11, when we lost more in lives a day than we lost in Iraq in a year. We finally got a president who did something. We haven't had a 9/11 since we went to war. Anybody who thinks we won't have one again if we quit the war in Iraq is living in la-la land.
Who do you think funded and trained the ''terrorists'' Johnny ?
Terrorism has been good for business. It costs 'money' to replace buildings... and the Price System thrived for a brief period by plundering our resource base in another fake '''war'''
So Johnny.... Do you need a passport when you are coming or going from La la Land ?
The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naive and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who loves his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair.
Reverend G R Gleig, survived the First Anglo-Afghan War to write in 1843:
...a war begun for no wise purpose, carried on with a strange mixture of rashness and timidity, brought to a close after suffering and disaster, without much glory attached either to the government which directed, or the great body of troops which waged it. Not one benefit, political or military, has Britain acquired with this war. Our eventual evacuation of the country resembled the retreat of an army defeated.
