'First we have been down, then we have been up, then down, then up.'

.... in this election, we will offer two very different visions of the America we see in the twenty-first century. Because John McCain may claim long history of straight talk and independent-thinking, and I respect that. But in this campaign, he's fallen in line behind the very same policies that have ill-served America. He has seen where George Bush has taken our country, and he promises to keep us on the very same course. It's the same course that threatens a century of war in Iraq....

  3. Hillary got a 3 AM phone call this morning. It was an appeal to her sense of patriotism, party unity and self sacrifice. She rolled over and went back to sleep.

  4. Yes. She was asked to stop

    running a campaign aimed at systematically destroying the reputation of your party's front-runner -- the candidate who leads in the overall popular vote as well as the delegate count, the candidate who has shown an impressive ability to win the hearts of independents and even Republicans, the candidate who is attracting new voters in droves, the candidate who voters think stands the best chance of preventing Mr. "Bomb Bomb Iran"...

    Clinton has become Rush Limbaugh's willing tool to 'bloody up' Barack Obama. Something they are confused as to how to do.

  5. Hillary doesn't seem to understand that she's falling right into the Republican trap. She's unable to beat McCain in the general elections. Period.

  6. HRC is not for me. I ran across a great new blog, Utah Savage. Here's a great anti-HRC post entitled Eating Your Young.

    U.S. writes: "But here’s the real clincher in the deal for me. Your supporters will vote for Obama. I’m not so sure his could vote for you. It is cross-over men, guys who consider themselves conservative, who can vote for Obama but not for you, that we will lose."

  8. For the record, counting the caucus,
    Obama won Texas:

    Clinton: 65 + 30 = 95
    Obama: 61 + 37 = 98
    =======================
    Obama wins by 3!

  9. I've been feeling all warm and comfortable because we have two totally terrific candidates, so we Democrats couldn't lose. Or could we? I was greeted with the breakfast-curdling front-page article announcing that McCain has an edge over either Democrat. There is only one solution -- a twofer. One for president and one for vice president. It matters not which is which. It's time to put egos aside and put the welfare of the country -- and the world -- first.
