Al Franken

Taking back America, one Senate seat at a time.

Can Paul Wellstone finally rest in peace?
Yes, he can!

  1. Yes we can, and we will. I just wish Harry Mormon Reed would get over his milk-toast self and let Burris take his seat. The old man has such dignity. It's not his fault a crook appointed him. Legally, I might add. And I hate the spectacle of self righteousness the Senate is indulging in over small stuff. We need Burris's vote now. Stop fucking around Reed. Get over your junior high school cool guy crap and get on with governing. Reed's problem is probably that he never was the cool guy. But he's got power now. He's been on Meet the Press. And it was like hitting the snooze button for me.

sorry, I know this wasn't about Burris, but why insult every black person in Illinois just to punish a crook whose going to jail anyway, someday soon.

  2. I have to agree with Utah on this one and said so over at my place. Stop fucking around Harry and do the right thing. Give him the keys to his office!!

  3. Two comments.

The problem with Burris is that he's probably not as re-electable as Jesse Jackson Jr. But, in this instance, the law is on the side of the crook, Blagoshit, and since he's still governor, his call stands.

  4. Both Franken and Burris will be seated. Though a little arrogant for my taste, Burris, nonetheless, is qualified; and the right gov. is acting within legal means to appoint him. The only ones who will end up looking like time-wasting fools will be democrats, especially Harry Reid.

Franken is end because they've already done an exhaustive count, and everyone is sick of it. Plus the state court has ruled in his favor. Now, the more Coleman complains, the more he will be viewed as a whiner, which will make it difficult to run for office in the state again.

  5. If we can get Coleen Rowley to countersign your certification of Al Franken, that will make it official, MacDaddy!

  6. Crybaby Coleman is just like all the other Goppers-he hates the popular vote. What a sore effing loserman.

  7. As you know Vig and Mike, I've been hovering over this election like a small treasure. Jolly Roger sure has it right about gopper Coleman. Franken and Burris are the right choices.

I'm thrilled about Al Franken and the excellent way in which Minnesota handled their election. The state's in excellent hands.

But Reid? Have we not discovered yet that he has no kiwis? Whose approval do you think he needs? Think maybe he's checking with Busheney?
